In the cosseted world of celebrity, it’s perhaps a glimpse of reality to experience the visceral thrill of a well instructed bet. The likes of Bill Gates to be chasing a cash prize maybe not so ludicrous after all; we’re all human and subject to huge degrees of chance throughout the course of our lives. Challenging Chance and attempting to narrow the odds of success is possibly an innate part of our human intelligence; where people like Gates did this largely in the world of business and high finance, others may perhaps experience similar thrills in the form of a casual bet.

Casinos have certainly gone more upmarket in recent years and places like Vegas always tend to fall just the right side of tacky as to make them wondrous and aspirational places. Fancy restaurants, modern bars, designer shops and conscientious planning have taken places like Atlantic City and Vegas to new levels of mass appeal.

There’s something about the thrill of a bet; whether it be at a mobile casino or in Vegas itself that unites us all. In a chaotic existence, the desire to challenge fate and cut the odds is as much present in high flyers like Warren Buffet as it is in you.

Britney Spears enjoyed tasty treats while watching sons Sean Preston and Jayden James play their last soccer game of the season. Lindsay Lohan, flying to Los Angeles from new York last night, reportedly left the plane, along with 35 other passengers, for fear the plane had a fuel leak, leaving some to wonder weather she would be able to make her court appearance this morning.

She DID make it to court, clad in a see-through white body stocking, wearing a rosary necklace.

Lohan agreed to spend 90 days in a “locked in” drug rehab facility as part of a plea deal to settle criminal charges against her. She entered pleas of no contest on two misdemeanor charges relating to a traffic accident last summer.

This new hot jewelry line can be seen worn on celebrities like Mark Walberg, Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, and Eva Longeria. The owner of KD Luxe Jewlery, Kathleen Largen has also designed for top designers including Guess, Brighton Kenneth Cole, and DKNY. When asked why she choose the two as the face of her line she did not hesitate to state, “My line is all about being positive and good energy while still holding a hip and cool feeling and that is exactly what Sam and Vanessa represent. Sarpong who has an incredible year of 2012 just continues to progress, currently he is the host of Ryan Seacrest’s new show AXS Live. Next year he will co-star with Tiny Lister in the feature film “No Weapons Formed Against Us” in the mean while fall time will bring the super anticipated film “Trigger” featuring 90210 star Matt Cohen.
